Local Beaches
The North Norfolk coastline provides some of the most beautiful sandy beaches. We particularly love West Runton, Mundesley, Sheringham, Overstrand, Cromer & Waxham. Why not have a go at crabbing at Wells or Blakeney or take a boat trip to see the coloney of seals at Moreston Quay.
Norfolk Broads
A trip to the Norfolk Broads is a must & the best way to explore the flora & fauna is from the water. We suggest taking a day boat from Wroxham or if you’re feeling more adventurous try a canoe or paddle board.
Homes & Gardens
We adore the National Trust Blickling Hall, which is only 4 miles from the barn & once home to Anne Boleyn. You can either visit the beautiful house or visit the spectacular gardens. We highly recommend a walk around the park & either grab a coffee in the coffee shop or a bite to eat at the Bucks Arms. Other local National Trust properties include Sheringham Park & Felbrigg Hall which are worth a visit.
Heading into Norwich, I would recommend visiting Norwich Cathedral & Norwich Castle.
Family Days Out
For those with young children, we recommend a visit to Roar the Dinosaur Park, where you can walk amongst the life size dinosaurs. Or visit BeWILDerwood, the childrens adventure park with its treehouses, zip-wires and jungle bridges.
For little ones that love trains, the Bure Balley steam train & North Norfolk railway are a must.

The traditional market town of Aylsham is 4 miles from the barn & offers delicious coffees & pastries at Bread Source, tapas & cocktails at M’s & pizza takeaways at The Proper Pizza Co.
